General Terms and Conditions

Holiday Park Familiehuis Nunspeet

1. RESERVATIONS

Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet would like to point out that bookings you make are legally binding.

1.1 Reservations can be made via www.familiehuisnunspeet.nl or by phone at 0340250851.

1.2 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet only accepts reservations from persons aged 18 and older. Reservations made by persons younger than this age are not valid.

1.3 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet reserves the right to refuse, without explanation, unusual reservations—particularly group bookings—or to set special conditions.

1.4 If Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet accepts your reservation, it will send you a confirmation and invoice via email within 3 days. You must check this for accuracy immediately upon receipt. Any inaccuracies must be reported to Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet immediately.

1.5 If you have not received a confirmation/invoice within 7 days of making the reservation, you must contact the contact center without delay. Failure to do so means the reservation cannot be claimed.

1.6 A contract is established between you and Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet once the park confirms your reservation via email. The agreement concerns the rental of accommodations and/or facilities for recreational use of a short-term nature.

1.7 No rights can be derived from the object, pitch, or location number listed on your confirmation/invoice.

1.8 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet is a holiday park intended solely for tourism. If you rent an accommodation for temporary work-related stay, we reserve the right to refuse you.

2. PRICES

2.1 You owe Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet the total agreed amount as stated on the confirmation/invoice.

2.2 Discounts and/or special offers can no longer be used once the confirmation/invoice has been sent by Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet.

2.3 All prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.

2.4 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet is entitled to implement price increases resulting from interim changes in legal regulations (including, but not limited to, VAT, tourist tax, insurance tax), which are beyond its control.

2.5 The prices listed in brochures/flyers and on the website(s) are not binding. Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet reserves the right to change these prices.

2.6 Your reservation is made at the prices and rates applicable at that time. The price listed on your confirmation/invoice is binding.

2.7 In addition to the rental price, you (the tenant) are also liable for reservation fees, linen costs, final cleaning, and tourist tax.

2.8 The tourist tax is determined by the municipality in which the park is located. You (the tenant) owe Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet the rate as determined and applicable by the local authority.

3. PAYMENTS

3.1 You must pay a 25% deposit within 7 days of your reservation. For bookings within 6 weeks before arrival, the full amount must be paid at once.

3.2 The remaining balance must be received no later than 6 weeks before the start date as stated on your confirmation/invoice.

3.3 If you fail to pay on time, you are in default. In that case, Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet is entitled to cancel the agreement. You are liable for all damages and costs resulting from the cancellation.

3.4 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet reserves the right to offset any claims against any amounts you have paid.

3.5 Any additional costs incurred during your stay must be settled on your departure day.

4. CANCELLATIONS

4.1 If you cancel:

  • More than 4 weeks before arrival: 25% of the total amount is due.
  • More than 2 weeks before arrival: 50% of the total amount is due.
  • Within 2 weeks of arrival: the full amount is due.
  • €25 administration fee applies.

You may join the cancellation fund (see article 7) to cover these costs.

5. CHANGES TO THE AGREEMENT

5.1 Changes after the agreement is established are not mandatory to accept and are at the discretion of Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet.

5.2 Changes to arrival date or location within 6 weeks before arrival are not allowed and count as cancellations (see article 4).

5.3 Changes to the date or type of accommodation outside the 6-week window cost €35, provided the total price does not decrease.

5.4 Reducing the number of accommodations after booking is considered a cancellation (see article 4).

5.5 If Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet needs to make changes (location, period, type), a suitable alternative will be offered.

6. SUBSTITUTIONS

6.1 Tenants may not transfer the accommodation to others unless agreed in writing.

6.2 If substitution is agreed, the original tenant remains jointly liable for payment, change costs, and potential cancellation fees.

7. CANCELLATION FUND

7.1 You can only join the cancellation fund at the time of booking.

7.2 The cost is 6% of the total travel sum, excluding admin or policy fees, which apply in case of cancellation.

7.3 A full refund (minus cancellation fund and €25 admin fee) will be issued for cancellations due to:

  • Death, sudden illness or accident
  • Early departure due to death in immediate family
  • Fire/storm/lightning damage to your home
  • Involuntary unemployment after booking
  • Forced relocation due to health, renovation or job change
  • Positive COVID test or doctor's note just before departure

Other reasons are not covered.

7.4 The fund runs from booking date to departure. In case of early departure for a covered reason, a prorated refund applies (minus admin and fund costs), based on the day the accommodation is vacated.

7.5 Claims must be submitted in writing with third-party documentation.

8. DEPOSIT

8.1 A signed direct debit authorization must be submitted at check-in; failure to do so may result in cancellation.

8.2 The deposit secures against damages, costs, or breaches of contract.

8.3 Additional charges (e.g. damage, unreturned passes/keys, extra cleaning) will be billed afterward.

8.4 The total will be collected via direct debit or sent by invoice.

9. STAY, ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

9.1 Arrival: 15:00–17:00. Late arrivals must inform reception in advance.

9.2 At check-in, you receive park info and must download the Familiehuis Nunspeet app.

9.3 Departure: before 10:00 AM.

9.4 Final inspection may begin at 09:00.

9.5 Return all passes/keys on departure. Lost/damaged items will be invoiced.

9.6 Early departure does not entitle a refund unless covered by travel insurance.

9.7 Each accommodation has its own decor. Changes may occur.

9.8 Not all facilities are open year-round.

10. PARK RULES

10.1 All guests must follow park rules, found on www.familiehuisnunspeet.nl.

10.2 All guests must present valid ID at check-in.

10.3 Maximum occupancy per accommodation must be observed.

10.4 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet may change facility layouts/hours without compensation.

10.5 Maintenance work may occur during your stay without compensation.

10.6 No tents may be erected near accommodations.

10.7 Accommodations must be broom-clean. Follow house rules (e.g., empty dishwasher, remove bed linen, clean kitchen, dispose of waste).

10.8 Bed linen rental is mandatory.

10.9 Breaching terms or park rules may result in removal. Each unit contains the rules.

10.10 If park management suspects illegal or immoral activity, it may access the accommodation.

11. DOGS

11.1 A limited number of accommodations allow dogs (max. 2 dogs per accommodation).

11.2 You must indicate when booking whether you are bringing a dog; an additional daily fee will be charged for this, as it entails extra cleaning work. The cost for your dog will be stated on the price list and on your booking confirmation/invoice.

11.3 It is not allowed to walk your dog in the park or to let them urinate in the garden due to grass preservation.

11.4 Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times throughout the park.

11.5 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet reserves the right to refuse dogs on the premises (without providing a reason).

11.6 Dogs must always be on a leash in the park and outside the accommodation. Dogs are not allowed on our beach, except from September 1 to May 1, when leashed dogs may play on the sandy area. (However, this is not a designated dog toilet area—accidents must be cleaned up immediately.)

11.7 Inside the accommodation, dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or sanitary areas. Dogs are not permitted on or against the furniture, either inside or outside the accommodation. In homes where dogs are allowed, a maximum of two dogs is permitted. Please bring your own dog bed. If excessive cleaning is required due to fur on bedding, bedroom floors, or furniture (areas where dogs are not permitted), an additional €50 cleaning fee will be charged.

11.8 Dogs must not cause nuisance to other guests. Dogs belonging to visitors are not allowed, or only in consultation with reception and only in the garden—not inside the accommodation.

11.9 On-site instructions must be followed.

11.10 Flea and tick protection for dogs is mandatory.

11.11 Cats and other pets (e.g., birds) are not allowed. (If you have questions about this, feel free to contact reception.)

12. INTERNET USE

12.1 Depending on the accommodation, Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet offers the tenant/user and their companions access to the internet via a WiFi network.

12.2 The tenant is responsible for correct internet use, including the necessary hardware, software, configuration, peripheral equipment, and security measures.

12.3 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet is not liable for damage resulting from internet use or network failures.

12.4 The tenant/user and their companions must behave responsibly when using the internet, adhere to legal regulations, and avoid behavior that causes inconvenience to others or damages the reputation of Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet. Visiting unlawful or inappropriate websites is prohibited.

12.5 If third-party inconvenience or internet misuse is detected or suspected, Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet reserves the right to block internet access without notice.

12.6 The tenant indemnifies Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet from any third-party claims for damages related to internet use by the tenant/user and their companions.

13. CLEANING

13.1 You will find your accommodation clean upon arrival. If not, report this immediately to reception with photo evidence, on the day of arrival, via reception and the app. Do not clean it yourself. Complaints after the fact cannot be processed.

13.2 Your accommodation will be cleaned after your departure. Cleaning costs are listed on your booking confirmation/invoice.

14. LIABILITY

14.1 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet accepts no liability for:

  • Theft, loss, or damage of any kind during or as a result of a stay.
  • Malfunction or failure of technical equipment or facilities.
  • Information provided verbally or by telephone.
  • Weather conditions.
  • Nuisance caused by third parties beyond the park's responsibility.
  • Consequences of participating in park activities.
  • Service failures or defects in third-party services.

14.2 The tenant and co-tenants are liable for all loss or damage caused to Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet or third parties, directly or indirectly, due to their stay—whether caused by themselves or by third parties on the park at their invitation, or by animals or objects they bring.

14.3 The tenant/user and their companions are jointly and severally liable for proper conduct in and around the accommodation and for using the equipment therein.

14.4 The tenant/user and companions are also jointly and severally liable for damage due to breakage, loss, or excessive soiling in or around the accommodation. Any damage must be reported and paid for immediately unless the tenant can prove the damage was not their fault.

15. SUNDAY REST

15.1 No check-in/check-out takes place on Sundays. Departure is only possible via the provided envelope if the reception is closed.

15.2 No commercial activities or product sales will take place on Sundays.

15.3 No sale of chalets/holiday homes will take place on Sundays.

15.4 Sunday rest must be respected. Noise disturbance of any kind is not allowed.

15.5 No organized activities will take place on Sundays, such as football/volleyball matches, barbecues, or group events.

15.6 No maintenance or construction work may take place on accommodations or gardens on Sundays.

16. FORCE MAJEURE AND MODIFICATIONS

16.1 If Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet is (temporarily) unable to fulfill the agreement due to force majeure, they may propose a change (different accommodation/period, etc.) within 14 days. Suspension of obligations is allowed in the event of uncontrollable circumstances. No compensation will be paid.

16.2 Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: war, strikes, blockades, fire, flooding, or other disruptions beyond the park’s control.

17. TERMINATION

Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet has the right to terminate the agreement immediately if incorrect or incomplete personal data was provided at booking. No refund of rental fees will be made.

18. COMPLAINTS

Despite all efforts, if you have a justified complaint regarding your stay, report it directly to park management. If not resolved satisfactorily, you may submit a written complaint within one month of departure to:
Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet, Randmeerweg 14, 8071 SH Nunspeet or via receptie@familiehuisnunspeet.nl, stating your reservation number.
If this still does not lead to a satisfactory solution, you may submit your complaint within three months to the Disputes Committee for Recreation in The Hague or the legally competent court. The committee’s decision is binding.

19. PRIVACY

19.1 All personal data you provide will be stored in a database used for guest administration and marketing purposes. Your data may be combined with other company databases for personalized offers. For full details, refer to the “privacy” section on our website.

19.2 Upon request, your data will be corrected or deleted if it is incorrect. This may affect your ability to use some services. You may request to know what data we hold on you.

20. APPLICABILITY

20.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, reservations, and agreements for accommodations and facilities rented by Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet.

20.2 In these Terms, "tenant" or "you" refers to the person entering into an agreement with the park. "User" (also called "guest") refers to the tenant and those staying with them.

20.3 These terms apply regardless of any reference to your own terms and conditions. We explicitly reject all other terms.

21. GENERAL

21.1 "Accommodation" refers to all types of rentals at Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet.

21.2 The main tenant is the person under whose name the reservation is made. Participants are all persons staying in the accommodation during the same period.

21.3 Changes may occur in park publications.

21.4 Obvious printing or typing errors on the website, brochures, or ads are not binding.

21.5 Vakantiepark Familiehuis Nunspeet is completely fireworks-free. No fireworks, including category 1, are allowed anywhere in the park, driveway, adjacent forest, or beach.
